*The tour includes a series of stops on the Troodos mountains and Larnaca, with visitations to significant churches and monasteries along with panoramic breath-taking views. *
- We start our tour by visiting the historic St. Lazarus church with the impressive iconostasis. The magnificent stone church of Saint Lazarus is dated on the late 9th century, it is one of the most remarkable examples of Byzantine architecture in Cyprus and lies over the tomb of the saint.
- Before our way to the Troodos mountains, we will have a brief stop at ''St. Lazarus garden'' where our visitors can enjoy a morning coffee or tea.
- As our second stop, we will visit a church that was built in the 11th century on the ruins of an Early Christian basilica of the 5th century. This beautiful church is under the protection of UNESCO and the name translates as "Built by Angels." The mosaic of the church is one of the best preserved early Christian wall mosaics in Cyprus and was likely created in the late 6th century.
- Continuing our tour we will visit the unique church of Virgin Mary which is situated inside a cave and was used as a hermitage for monks during the 8th - 9th century. The historical cave of ''Panagia Chrysospiliotissa'' is located in a beautiful location overgrown with eucalyptus and rhododendrons.
- We will then arrive at Apostolos Andreas, in Episkopeio, which is the largest Russian church on the island. The temple has five golden domes with the main dome weighing about 7 tonnes. The domes arrived straight from Saint Petersburg and were put together on site. The temple is one of the largest in Cyprus and is able to accommodate 400 people.
- Our next stop is on the picturesque area of Machaira where we will visit the Virgin Mary monastery. Machairas monastery is one of the three Royal and Stavropegic of the island, and also keeps the miraculous icon of Panagia (the Virgin Mary) of Machairas, which is attributed to Apostle Luke the Evangelist.
- Our last stop is at the beautiful village of Lefkara. Lefkara is considered as one of the 30 most beautiful places in Europe and the village also has beautiful and ancient chapels, including the church of Holy Cross, and the chapel of Archangel Michail in Kato Lefkara, with frescoes that date from the 12th and 15th centuries. There our visitors will have the chance to have some free time and optional lunch break.
